The VI International conference on photonics and information optics was carried in February 1-3, 2017. Organizers of the conference: The Russian Academy of Sciences and National Research Nuclear University «MEPhI» (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). Conference themes: coherent and nonlinear optics, fiber and integrated optics, optics of crystals and acousto-optics, interaction of radiation with matter and optical materials, nano- ana biophotonics, holography and digital optics, optical communication and optoelectronic data processing, element base and applied photonics. The program included 314 reports of scientists from NRNU MEPhI and its branches, from the organizations of the Moscow region (MSU, MIPT, NUST «MISIS», PFUR, MTU, Bauman MSTU, MPEI, MAI, MPU, NRUET, LPI RAS, GPI RAS, SRISA RAS, FORC RAS, ISPM RAS, STS UI RAS, IS RAS, FIRE RAS, FSRC “Crystallography and Photonics” RAS, All-Russian RIOPM, All-Russian RIA, SRTI «Technomach», NLC «Astrophysika», RQC, et. al.), from the organizations from the other cities of Russia (Saint-Petersburg (SPb SU, SPb PU, SPb SUAI, SPb SUT, SPb NRU ITMO, Hersen RSPU, BSTU «Voenmech», Ioffe PTI RAS, et. al.), Kaliningrad (BFSU, KSTU), Pskov (PskSU), Veliky Novgorod (NovSU), Tver (TvSU), Yaroslavl (YaSTU), Vladimir (VlSU), Nizhny Novgorod (NNSU, IAP RAS, IOMS RAS), Voronezh (VAIU), Simferopol (CFU), Taganrog (SFU), Krasnodar (KubSU), Saratov (Saratov SU, IPMC RAS), Ulyanovsk (UlSU), Samara (SamNRU, SB FI RAN, IPSI RAS), Izhevsk (ISTU), Kazan (KFU), Ufa (USATU), Orenburg (OSU), Omsk (OmSTU), Tomsk (TGU, TPU, TUSUR), Novosibirsk (IAE SB RAS, SIBSUTIS), Krasnoyarsk (SFU), Irkutsk (ISMU), Khabarovsk (FESTU, PNU), Vladivostok (FEFU, IASP FEB RAS), etc., and from universities and institutes of NAS of Republic of Belarus (Minsk, Grodno, Mozyr) Kyrgyz Republic (Bishkek) and Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana) from groups of the Russian scientists in cooperation with scientists from European Union, USA, Taiwan and Australia, and from University of Calgary (Canada). In total there were reports from 136 organizations, from them from 60 higher education institutes, 30 institutes of the RAS, 12 scientific research institutes, 18 scientific production organizations and 16 foreign organizations).
The conference included 12 meetings in total: 2 plenary sessions and 10 section meetings, also 4 poster sessions took place. Languages of conference – Russian and English. Languages of conference – Russian and English. The presentation of scientific-technical journals (Photonics, Photon-express) was held. The presentation of catalogues and exhibition of equipment for scientific research from some organizations (Azimuth photonics, Special Systems. Photonics, IC Specpostavka, Vicon Standa and others) was carried out during the conference. The proceedings of conference were published and distributed among participants and guests of conference. Best reports were recommended for publication in the form of papers in the reviewed magazines entering the bulletin of VAK and Web of Science, Scopus ana RISC.
The VI International conference on photonics and information optics carried on traditions of the forums held under the auspices of Scientific sessions of MEPhI since 2000 again confirmed the prospects of research in the field of science and technology. Number of reports, of the participating organizations and countries is increasing every year, including increasing number of reports from students, graduate students and young scientists. So that such forums will help improve the level of knowledge and quality of education of the specialists in this industry.
